LOS ANGELES, CA -- A California appeals court says a dispute between Jennifer Lopez and her first husband over the release of intimate home videos should be handled through arbitration, not the public court system. A ruling Friday by the 2nd District Court of Appeal states that a Los Angeles judge erred by not granting Lopez's request to move the case to arbitration. The ruling states Lopez has a valid agreement with ex-husband Ojani Noa and his agents preventing him from releasing "any private or intimate details" about the couple's relationship. Lopez and Noa wed in 1997. Their marriage lasted just 11 months. They have been fighting in court for nearly two years over Noa's plans to use portions of more than 11 hours of home videos of him and Lopez for a movie.
The videos, which both sides agree does not depict the singer and actress in sexual situations, have been blocked for release by a judge. Noa's agent, Ed Meyer, however threatened to release clips from the videos earlier this year, which prompted a judge to order them to be stored in a bank safe deposit box with restricted access in June. The court ordered Friday that Meyer is also subject to the arbitration provisions. He wrote in an email that he will appeal the ruling to the California Supreme Court. Noa's attorney, Christopher Lauria, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

Following the couple's announcement that their marriage is over, Marc, who's dad to Jennifer's 3-year-old twins Max and Emme, is forking out £16,000 a month to rent a new bachelor pad.
'Marc has leased a fancy mansion 2 doors away,' a source tells the Daily Star.
'He wanted to be close to their kids.'
When J-Lo told Marc - her husband of seven years - that she wanted a divorce, his response wasn't quite what she expected.
The musician reportedly told his wife he'd 'move on as quickly as possible' - and it was then that shocked Jennifer, 42, knew there was no changing her mind.
'All she could say was: "Well, good luck to you both." It was the moment she knew their relationship had died,' reveals our exclusive source.
'She told me afterwords: "I realized at that point that he was never the love of my life."'

"Right now Jennifer can’t even stand hearing Marc’s name!” revealed an insider.
"After seven years of marriage, the pair announced their split in mid-July.
And Jennifer – who’s fed up with Marc’s controlling, macho ways – wants to make a clean break, say sources.
The no-nonsense beauty has been refusing Marc’s desperate, repeated phone calls to make up.
She’s locked him out of their $10 million, 3-acre estate in Hidden Hills, Calif., thrown his leftover belongings into storage and won’t even allow him on the property, say sources.
“Jennifer has washed her hands of Marc,” said the insider.
“She’s trying to move on with her life as quickly as possible.
“She is deleting all of the voice mails Marc has been leaving, and she won’t answer his calls. Before going on a recent trip to Miami, she had his clothes, computer and other personal items packed up.
“Someone from Marc’s camp was supposed to pick up his things but never showed. So Jennifer instructed her assistant to rent storage near her home and dump all of Marc’s stuff there.”

They once seemed to be the ideal family: gorgeous, successful superstar Jennifer Lopez weds Marc Anthony, plus their adorable 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme. But when the couple announced the end of their seven-year union on July 15, it became clear that the truth behind the A-list pairing didn’t match the public image. OK! has the inside scoop in this week’s issue!“J.Lo and Marc used to have incredible passion between them, and that was the glue that held them together,” says another insider. “[But lately] they had been drifting apart to more of a friendship,” says the longtime friend of the couple.
Some say that’s because Marc had a wandering eye. “I think Marc wanted to be with other women,” reveals a source close to the situation.
To make matters worse, Marc has been spending time with his ex-wife, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, with whom he has two sons.Ben will always be in Jen's corner. - Although Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck famously called off their engagement and 18-month romance in January 2004, the actor was happy to help as his ex's 7-year marriage to Marc Anthony was falling apart.
Guadalupe Lopez, the singer-actress's mother sought Affleck's advice on July 12, multiple sources confirm in the new Us Weekly, out Wednesday. "Guadalupe reached out to Ben over email. She wanted advice for Jennifer," reveals a source. At issue: Anthony's raging jealousy over Lopez's career, his compulsion to control everything from her business endeavors and even her famous wardrobe, and, according to multiple sources, at least one extra-marital affair in 2009.
And despite her ultra-glamourous, ultra-confident persona in the public eye, Lopez "actually has low self-esteem," one pal explains. "And Marc really played into that insecurity. That's why she put up with his abuse for such a long time."

What is the biggest challenge of your job?
Probably the stigma the industry has. The bottom line is I’m contracted to do a job and unfortunately, a lot of drivers aren’t reading the signs. There are a lot of people coming over here. It’s an international playground, and a lot of times there’s no parking and they end up getting towed.
What’s it like dealing with the public?
You get a lot of people freaking out. Especially at night because they’re highly intoxicated. They don’t listen to reason. It’s their way and no other way. In real life it doesn’t go that way.
How do you deal with the abuse?
I have great patience; in this business you got to have it. I tolerate almost anything. You try to defend yourself the best you can and not get hurt.
Have you been attacked physically?
I got smacked in the face with an aluminum baseball bat way back, about 20 years ago around when the Renaissance in South Beach started. It was after one of those heavy weekends. I happen to catch the silhouette [of the bat]. That’s the last thing I can remember, really. I got stitched up and so forth. It was an unpleasant experience.
Any really strange experiences that we can expect on the show?
There was a woman who was parked in — I can’t remember if it was a loading zone or what; it was just the wrong place. We hooked her up to load her out. She was very angry, especially because she had a wedding cake in there. When she opened up the door, the cake that had been sitting there slid forward. There was icing damage. Then it got kind of complicated with her. She started pushing me, calling me a lot of names. I’ve heard them all, of course. There was nothing I could do about it. I kept telling her, ‘Ma’am, it’s not our fault you parked where you did.’
Do you like your job?
I like it at times, but it’s very testy; obviously I’ve developed a tough skin. If I didn’t, I shouldn’t be in this business. You do meet a lot of nice people, though. We are also doing good stuff. I don’t know how many times I’ve helped someone out because they’ve just broken down on the side of the road.
